I just put a decal on one of my new 618-ish 755A cabinets. I'm wondering if I can topcoat with nitrocellulose lacquer?
Anybody have any war stories on coating these?
I'll go ahead and do a trial run on scrap in the meantime. I sure hate to see the good lookin' decal I installed dissolve before my eyes!

I build stick and tissue model airplanes and print my own decals all the time. I use a few coats of nitrocellulose lacquer underneath and one or two on top. Never had an issue. Any decent decal material should be impervious to a reasonable amount of solvents. I believe, if anything, they will ultimately dissolve in water.
The trick is to go lightly on top as to avoid reactivating the lacquer underneath, possibly causing wrinkling.
